Huansi/FAY Intelligent Visual Control System for Circular Knitting Machines

Conventional inspection discovers defects after fabric has already been produced. Huansi/FAY is installed on a circular knitting machine so visual inspection happens while the fabric is being made.
The system combines industrial cameras, lighting, speed sensing, an AI computing terminal, a touch-screen HMI and a relay control module. It follows a closed loop: sense the fabric, classify the event, then inform the operator or stop the machine according to the configured rule.

Inspect and decide
Images are analysed at the edge by the AI computing terminal, which identifies and counts configured defect conditions.

Results appear on the touch screen. When the configured threshold is reached, the system can alarm and send a stop command to the machine.

Detectable conditions
The system detects holes, oil stains, flying fibre, yarn knots, uneven yarn, bad needles, vertical and horizontal stripes, and loop anomalies. The system can also monitor raw-material batch selection.
Fabric and machine fit
The system supports single- and double-knit circular machines with 28–38 inch cylinder diameters and 9G–42G gauges. Fabric examples include jersey, ponte, scuba, rib, terry, mesh, small jacquard and yarn-dyed stripes.
Installation routes
Select a below-cylinder, inside-cylinder or dual-camera setup according to fabric construction, required coverage and maintenance access. The installation is configured for the target machine and fabric.
Management option
The full intelligent-management version adds records and factory-management functions for raw materials, parts, personnel, maintenance, orders, grey-fabric inventory, quality and defect maps.
